Spooky Halloween Fun in Blackrock
The Blackrock Tourism and Development group hosted well over 1000 people who attended the 3rd Annual Blackrock Pumpkin Carnival taking place around the sundial and all along the promende once again. Hundreds of beautifully carved pumpkins lined the promenade wall and around the sundial in an amazing display of carving skills. The centre piece this year was a Witches Coven where 3 spooky witches led by “Trish The Witch” cast spooky spells while Halloween songs played out. The village then came to a halt when the “Black Walk” took place led by a Zombie Samba band and hundreds of people joined in the procession down the to beach where the Ghostly Pianist played out tunes on a piano and the beach coffins open to reveal treats and sweets for the kids.
