Its been a long time coming but the summer has arrived in Blackrock so we are giving you five top things to look forward in 2018 in Blackrock, Co. Louth. Here are the top 5 things to do this summer.

1. Hit the Beach

As the evenings are getting longer you can finish up a day at the office and bring a blanket down to the main beach, priests beach or ladies beach. Yes – we have three beaches so click here to see a map if you dont believe us.

2. Take a Walk or Two

Grab a new Tourism and Walking Map from any local shop, restaurant or bar and take the “Round The Rock Walk” or “Wellie Walk”. 3. Watch the Raft Race

The Blackrock Tidytowns Raft Race is taking place on Sunday 17th June at 1:30pm where approx 30 rafts will take to the water in a mad cap race around the shoreline. With a mixture of pride and pandemonium this race attracts hundreds of onlookers and is one of the highlights of the year in Blackrock. Click here to get details on how to enter.

4. Watch A Movie

The big screen is coming to Blackrock beach so you can catch the full Outdoor Movie Experience on the last weekend in August. The Blackrock Film Festival will be showing several movies this year so keep a close eye here to see what fab films are on the list for this year.

5. Eat, Drink and Buy Merry

Blackrock Village is located about 3 miles south of Dundalk Town in Louth on the R172 coast road.
